Brooke B.

I read Junie B Jones And The Yucky Blucky Fruitcake.
It was really funny. She called her Grandpa Miller a sucker. And when she won her first prize she won a comb. I really love Junie B Jones because she is really funny. I only have a couple books left.

The Babysitting Wars by Mimi McCoy

Kaitlyn is the only babysitter in Marshfield Lake until Nola moves in and steals her customers. I liked this book because I liked the characters. What happens when Kaitlyn gets too caught up in the customer situation?

Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret

My mom and I read this book together and we both really liked it. It's about twin girls who were separated at age 3. At 13, Sunny decides to runaway from her foster mom and find Starr. We kept reading because there were lots of adventures for Sunny and we couldn't wait to find out if Sunny would find her sister and how it would end. You might be surprised how it ends just like we were.

Jacqueline B. 5th Grade

I've read a lot of good books recently. The first book I read this summer was Small Steps. It adds on to the book Holes. I also read Peak. It's a book about a 14 year old climber that climbs with his dad. I've also read My Life as a Fifth Grade Comedian. It was a funny book about a boy that didn't do his homework so he had consequences. I read the book the Million Dollar Shot, because my mom's school does Battle of the Books, and she had to make up questions for that book. It was a really good book! I finished the summer reading from the Indian Trails Library. And I'm almost done with Barnes and Noble!

She is very smart but no one knows exactly how smart.
When Melody finds a way to talk, what will happen?

Abby E. 1st Grade

I read two really good fairy books. One is called "Cara the Camp Fairy" and the other is called "Joy the Summer Vacation Fairy".
In "Cara the Camp Fairy", Cara has three magic items she needs to get back from Jack Frost. The items are a water bottle, a compass, and a friendship bracelet. Kirsty and Rachel help her. Cara gets the items back and everybody at camp is happy.
In "Joy the Summer Vacation Fairy", Joy needs three magic shells back from Jack Frost so ice cream can taste good, wind blows, and sand is on the beach. Kirsty and Rachel help her get them back from Jack Frost.
Now I am reading "Mia the Bridesmaid Fairy".

Hope you are having a great summer.
Abby E (soon to be 1st grader)

Phoebe R. 1st 2011 entry!

I read Trixie the Halloween Fairy. It was about two kids name Kristi,Rachel, and a fairy name Trixie. Its almost halloween but nothing is good. The goblins stole the goodies: a chocolate bar, candy corn, and the caramel apple. They find the candy in town and Hallween was better.

Summer 2011

Megan M.

Megan, her Father and I popped popcorn and took turns reading Puppy Place. We each read 3 pages, then gave the next person a turn.
We had so much fun!

Rachel and Molly and Danny S.

The Schless family had a great reading night. We all put on our PJ's, got our favorite blankets and pillows and all huddled together to read! Molly read "My Wobble Tooth Must not ever Fall Out" by Lauren Child. Danny read "I know an Old Lady" illustrated by G. Brian Karas. Finally, Rachel read "For the Love of Autumn. We all enjoyed the stories and had a great time!!!

Lee Family

The Lee family- Courtney, Kendra, Gavin, Mom and Dad had a wonderful family reading night Saturday night. We all got into our PJ's, hopped onto Mom and Dad's bed and read our favorite stories from when we were little. We all took turns reading and Mom went last and got us into the Christmas spirit by reading The Polar Express.

We may start a new tradition now because we had so much fun and it brought back a lot of good memories.

Reilly A.

Amaral

The Amaral family is reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (HP3).
We try to read aloud together a few times a week!

Bradley G.

Bradley G. read to his family before dinner tonight. They all enjoyed learning about cool facts and myths in Do Not Open. (They obviously did not follow the advice of the title and opened it anyway.)

Jacoby

Mrs. Wallner, Jenna and Jake J. are so excited about family reading night. They actually started to read this morning to each other and to themselves. We will continue this tonight. Thanks for making reading fun for my kids as well as all the Longfellow kids.

Ugly Truth.

Book: The Home Run Kid Races on by Matt Christopher

This is a book you must read if you like sports. There is even mystery in the story about the coaches. Sylvester Coddmyer has become an amazing ballplayer. It’s weird because at first he didn’t even have any skills. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I did!

Timmy C.-5th grade

I just finished reading Eldest, book two in the Inheritance Cycle. It's about a boy who finds a dragon egg and they go on a wild adventure to overthrow an evil king. One of the most surprising things in the book is that the main character's dad is the assistant to the king. I loved the action and adventure on every page. I can't wait to start reading book three.
